Hi everyone, I hope you're all enjoying your winter break? I'm back from England now but some more exciting things have happened between now and the last time I posted on here. I'm back from my holiday now so normal blogging will resume (as will schoolwork and my normal stress level, sad face).

Offers, offers and more offers!
Well, since my last post which was about 2 days ago, I have received three, yes 3, conditional offers from Sussex. I got an offer for Law, Law with Spanish and Law with American Studies, yes you read that right. I, India Bottomley, got an offer for Law with American Studies! I'm so happy right now it's impossible to explain it.
For the past few years I'd completely lost trust in my capacity to achieve anything so getting these offers has given me a huge confidence boost which I really needed.
So, it seems it's all systems go, huh! I'm now looking forward to my holiday and not having to worry about any UCAS things at all for a few days. But I do have a (very) long list of sociology definitions to learn during the journey back to the UK! So wish me luck and I'll post again as soon as I have news about my last choice...

Christmas break
Hi everyone! Are you all on holiday yet? I'm completely out of touch when it comes to term dates, but apparently for most people the end of term is on Wednesday...
I'm traveling on Wednesday and Thursday, driving up through France and then taking the ferry over to England. It'll be good to be back in the UK for Christmas, it's not the same over here, it feels less festive. I'll be spending my time in Brighton!
What do you guys all have planned for your winter break? I'm sure there are lots of people who are planning on getting their application before the January 15th deadline, if you're one of them, there are some great articles on the UCAS blog with advice on getting all the elements ready (personal statement, reference...). They also have advice about those of us who are nervously awaiting offers, explaining the ins and outs of what happens to our file once it's landed on the admissions office desk.
Still no more news on the offers front, I'm not expecting any more until the new year now, I'm presuming the admissions offices are closed now? I know the students are all on winter break...
Let me know how you're all getting on, have you sent off your application yet? Have you got any offers? Comment bellow!

We're live!
I'm just writing a quick post to say hello to everyone who's arriving here via the UCAS Connect website which is now live.
Feel free to check out my previous posts which went online before the connect site did, they'll give you all an idea of where I'm at in my application process. I currently have one offer from Sussex for American Studies and I'm waiting to hear back from them about Law and Law with American Studies. There are very specific reasons as to why I want to go to Sussex, which I've posted about before so you can have a look there for details, and I've also posted about my course choices too. I have also applied for Law with American Law at UEA because it's a great course at a good university, so we'll wait and see what happens there too.
Now that I have an offer, the baccalaureate situation has become rather more real... I'm now on Christmas break because everything that needed doing by the end of the year has been done!

1st Offer!
As you all know, I sent off my application on the 22nd of November (very late at night!!). Anyway, I was waiting and waiting, checking my emails like a mad thing... I had no idea how impatient I was! After a few days I'd given up on a quick response and went back to checking my emails a couple of times a day. I was convinced this week was going to be my week, I just knew it. But as the days went by, I was beginning to think this wasn't going to be my lucky week after all and by Friday I'd given up on getting any offers this week. Until - plot twist!
